City highlighted in national magazine

AUBURN, Ind. – The CitBusiness Viewy of Auburn was one of several communities from across the United States to be highlighted in the March edition of Business View Magazine.

Business View Magazine, with over 840,000 subscribers, is the premiere news source for executives, entrepreneurs, small business owners, franchises and anyone interested in the current industry trends and best practices. The digital platform covers the latest developments in manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, supply chain and logistics, health care, food and beverage, and energy.

The City of Auburn is highlighted along side the cities of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Ashland, Massachusetts, Brevard, North Carolina, Clayton, Ohio, and Highland, Illinois among others.

Mayor Mike Ley sat down with a reporter from the publication after the first of the year to highlight the city along with Brandon Anderson, executive director of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and Katie Mullins, executive director of the Eckhart Public Library.

The discussion centered around the City’s vast, rich history and its culture of community. Ley also highlighted the exceptional growth the community has seen and is seeing. This growth of the city is centered around new commercial businesses that will begin construction on the west side of the city.

It also took a look at the housing opportunities that are coming to the city. Housing options has been a key need in the city and county for several years. New housing developments will bring over 170 new housing units to the city.

“I believe Auburn, Indiana is on the very verge, in the next five to seven years of seeing the largest economic investment period in the history of the city,” Ley said in his interview with the magazine. “We are looking to see some huge, huge dollars of investment.”
