Residents asked to follow fireworks regulations

AUBURN, Ind. -- With the 4th of July holiday upcoming this week city administration would like to remind residents of City Code 130.02 governing the use of fireworks within the City of Auburn. 

Fireworks are only allowed on specific dates and times within the city limits. For everyone's safety and peace, please follow the ordinance. Permitted dates and times include:

  • June 29 through July 3 -- 5 p.m. to two hours after sunset
  • July 4 -- 10 a.m. to midnight
  • July 5 through July 9 -- 5 p.m. to two hours after sunset
  • Labor Day and the Sunday before Labor Day -- 10 a.m. to two hours after sunset
  • December 31 and January 1 -- 10 a.m. (Dec. 31) through 1 a.m. (Jan. 1)

Any other dates and times are not permitted for the use of consumer fireworks.
