Pink Out month underway throughout May

AUBURN, Ind. — At last night’s City Council meeting, the Mayor proudly signed the annual Pink Out Proclamation, officially declaring May as Pink Out Month in DeKalb County. 

The mission of DeKalb County Pink Out is to raise awareness and inspire action around the importance of early breast cancer detection within our community. 

Pink Out DeKalb County will take place Thursday, May 15, with events all afternoon at the James Cultural Plaza.

Francine’s Friends Mobile Mammography bus will be at the James Plaza from 1-6 p.m. Thursday, May 15 offering mammograms by appointment. Appointments can be made at 260-483-1847. Mammograms can also be scheduled through Parkview DeKalb Health, Cameron Hospital and Lutheran Health Network. 

There will be a health and wellness fair at the James Cultural Plaza from 6-8 p.m. and the Hubie Ashcraft Bank will be performing. 

Also, downtown Thursday, May 15 is the first Thursday night ACD Festival Cruise-In around the Courthouse Square. 

There will be various other fundraisers throughout the month.
