AUBURN, Ind. -- Auburn Main Street and Auburn Sons of the American Legion 97 are proud to announce that applications are now being accepted to register the name of a veteran for the new DeKalb County Veteran's Memorial.

To have a veteran's name added to the memorial, please print and mail the application form along with a copy of the veteran's DD214 to: (1729 Sprott Street, Auburn, IN 46706).

For questions or more information, contact Auburn Main Street at www.auburnmainstreet.org.

The DeKalb County Veteran's Memorial will be located at 398 E. Ninth Street in the Riverfront District next to Cedar Creek. The memorial will serve as a lasting tribute to the brave men and women who have served our country.

The memorial will feature a memorial marker dedicated to each of the branches of service, which will include the names of those DeKalb County residents who have served our country. The memorial will also include an American flag in the center with benches and lighting.

The project was made possible after Junior Auburn Main Street and Auburn Main Street secured a $50,000 matching grant from the Indiana Housing Community Development Authority and Patronicity. The project was also made possible thanks to the donations of many DeKalb County residents.
