Barron's Automotive installs new signage

AUBURN, Ind. — For nearly 25 years Barron’s Automotive Repair, a full-service shop, has provided thBarrons Automotivee highest level of quality service for residents of Auburn and DeKalb County.

The Auburn business, owned by John Barron, at 701 Seventh Street recently updated its façade with help from Auburn Main Street’s Façade Grant program.

A $2,517.54 matching grant was approved by the Auburn Redevelopment Commission earlier this year. Barron’s Automotive utilized the Façade Grant to install new signage on the front of its building. 

Representatives from the Auburn Main Street Façade Committee were on hand Wednesday morning to present the check to Barron. 

Barron’s Automotive is the third local business to take advantage of the façade program in 2024. Since 2023 the program has provided $44,056.36 in assistance to renovate the facades of Auburn businesses. 

Since the beginning of the program six grants have been awarded totaling $89,322.72 in investment to the City of Auburn. 

The Façade Program is a partnership between Auburn Main Street, the City of Auburn, and the Auburn Redevelopment Commission. The Commission provides the funding for the project. 

The Façade Grant program allows Auburn businesses within the city’s Economic Development Area to apply for up to $15,000 in matching funds to renovate their buildings. Buildings must be at least 50 years old.
